Our choral director, John Leslie, is presenting Ralph Vaughan Williams' beautiful work,

"Five Mystical Songs"

Sunday evening, April 10 at 7:00pm at Oakdale Methodist Church, 15 North Main St. Oakdale, Rte. 140.

The concert features local baritone soloist David Bonneau, an Oakdale resident. The work will be accompanied by Mr. Leslie at the piano with a small chamber ensemble of musicians. Also featured in the concert will be excerpts from Antonin Dvorak's Biblical songs.

The concert will be followed by refreshments and fellowship. A Free-Will offering will be received.

ATTENTION SINGERS! Additional singers are requested!

John is seeking experienced choral singers to make up a chorus to sing Five Mystical Songs with soloist Mr. Bonneau. There will be only two rehearsals, so choral sight-reading or familiarity with the piece is essential. Rehearsals will be Sat. April 2 and Sat. April 9 from 1:30-2:30pm at Oakdale Church.

If you enjoy singing classical choral repertoire, but don't have time to dedicate to regular weekly rehearsals for a concert chorus, this might be of interest to you. John is hoping for 6 singers per voice part. Music will be provided.
