Worship Service at Lake Waushacum (Sterling)

Location: Sholan Park at Lake Waushacum in Sterling

Once again this year our Oakdale UMC community of faith will “come to the lakeshore” at Lake Waushacum for worship and to experience the beauty of God’s creation in fellowship with one another. This is a time to enjoy God’s creation as we worship together. We will worship at our usual time.

We’ll gather at 10:30am on Sunday, August 7th.

Dean and Philip Andrews will be sharing their ministry of music with us – always a special blessing.

Please bring folding lawn chairs, for the service (we'll have extras if you forget).

Bring a friend (or three, this is going to be FUN!)

We’ll have a Box O’ Joe (coffee) and you’re welcome to bring snacks or a picnic lunch.

Parking: per Doug Downey: we have a change from past years (a good change). We do not need to collect any information ahead of time – we will have blank temporary parking passes available and they just need to be filled out as each vehicle arrives in the parking lot.

Sholan Park at Lake Waushacum is 6.2 miles from the church.

From the church, go left onto Beaman St., past the Old Stone Church, connecting to Route 12 North, follow to the center of Sterling.

Go right on Maple St., right on Kendall Hill Rd., right on Swett Hill Rd. and right on Hall Ave. to Sholan Park.
